Are you looking for great sounding flugelhorn sample libraries and VST plugins to use in your music productions?
I mainly compose orchestral and cinematic music myself, so I tend to favor brass instruments recorded in concert halls and scoring stages, but sometimes you need a more dry sound for pop, jazz and band music.
So I made a list of flugelhorn VST libraries I can highly recommend. Some of these are brass collections, but I have chosen the ones which includes my favorite flugelhorns for: Sound, Playability, Ease of Use etc.

How to Choose a Flugelhorn VST?
The most important thing is if you like the sound, tone and character of the instrument. This means listening to the dynamic range (swells and arcs), short notes (staccato, sforzando, marcato), and transitions (legato).
Then you should check the specifications and see what articulations (instrument playing techniques) that are available, how many dynamic layers are recorded and so on.
I personally favor software instruments that are extremely playable, as it is so much more inspiring when composing music.
