If your aim is to do lots of sound design, and create sound landscapes and ambient atmospheres…then you want to go with reverbs that have massive “room” settings and long decay times.
Another important aspect is the ability to add both diffusion, as well as modulate the sound of the reverb over time. And if the reverb can add additional harmonies by using internal pitch-shifting, that is a big plus too.
